Biography

PAGENU is an independent producer and songwriter from Munich. Tropical House and Pop, built on real songwriting, made for people who still listen closely.

The name comes from two places. Papageno, the birdcatcher in Mozart's Magic Flute, who never wanted to be a hero, only an ordinary man with a simple life. And genius, as the quiet work of getting a song exactly right.

He has been writing since childhood, not because anyone asked, but because it was the only way to find the right words. In Schwabing, the Munich district once home to Kandinsky, Klee and Rilke, he found his way from writing lyrics to producing complete songs.

He works with full creative control, from the first melody to the final master. He previously released as Schwabinger Mozart. His album 27 is out now.
